In the summer of 2020, SOE scanned the Robert E. Lee Memorial under protest in Richmond, Virginia before its removal. We used ground and aerieal photogrammetry in combination with laser scanning to create a photo-realistic model of the memorial. We did this project to both document the important moment in history and provide public access to the resulting 3D model.
