3D Documentation for the Adaptive Reuse of a 19th Century Landmark

New Canaan, Connecticut, USA

2019

As an alternative to traditional documentation methods, such as hand measuring and modeling, we worked with the Onera Foundation to document their historic landmark using the latest digital recording methods. For this project we used a Leica laser scanner to get an accurate record of the property’s as-built condition. From this documentation we created architectural drawings and a 3D model that the Foundation is using to facilitate the adaptive reuse of their headquarters.
